Who are we?

Hello. My name is Darrell Edmondson, founder of Husky Paws PC Repairs & Builds. I believe that gaming computers can be a reality for everyone and anyone. From those who are on a budget but want to be able to play AAA titles, that "One game that everyone is playing", or for those who chant "Shut up and take my money!" for the best of everything.

We, at Husky Paws, are here to assist those who want to build their own custom gaming rigs that cater to their gaming needs, not the high price tag of the "Big Corporations". To have the ability to play today's games on medium to high settings, or even ultra settings, running through levels at 60 FPS or higher, while still maintaining the budget aspect. Or even build a beast of a Custom PC but would rather pick the parts themselves rather than use preselected parts, configurations, or builds. This is what sets us apart from other Custom PC builders is that we use WHAT YOU WANT. not preselected systems.

you want a specific case? Roger that. you want a certain GPU due to clock speeds? done. you want to use a specific CPU? gotcha. We list specific parts that have been approved by you. not just "okay, pick a case from what we got. WE pick the CPU and GPU configurations that you can use, etc." We prefer to cater to your custom PC build needs/wants.

Whether you are playing Today's hottest AAA title games or even titles that haven't been played in years, we can help you. Want to start streaming as well? We got you covered as well. We just ask a few simple questions, just to attain what your needs and wants are. Then, we take the specified list of parts, provided by you, as well as the answered questions and then brainstorm as well as using, you guessed it, the internet, to come up with a listing of parts that cater to your needs.

Once we have rechecked everything multiple times, we then submit the list to you to attain your opinion on the gaming rig and/or streaming rig parts list and to assure it falls within your budget. Builds can range from a simple Rysen 3 or Intel's I3 to the mighty AMD Threadripper or Intel's I9. Once everything is "Green for Go", we can assist with ordering the parts or provide the links on where to get the requested parts. At that point, we can either find a local computer shop that will assist with the building of your PC, have the parts sent to your home and you can experience the joys of building your own PC, or (For a fee) we can assembly the build at our office and then ship the completed build to you! (Using the most careful measures to ensure it arrives in one piece)

*At this time, we do NOT ship internationally. If you are local to the home office, we may be able to deliver the completed build directly to you rather than by mail. However, if you live outside of the "local area", then we will have to ship the completed build to you with as much safety as possible to get to you in one piece.

Components to a Computer

"Gaming RIgs"/"Streaming Rigs", also known as Custom Gaming Computers, are made specifically for streaming, gaming, or both, as well as workstation tasks. Many aspects come into play when creating your own custom rig. what CPU should i use? what motherboard do i need? what kind of graphics, Or GPU, should i get that will work with the games i play? At times, these questions are met with guess work and speculation since there is no "Absolute Winning Combo" when it comes to gaming rigs. Some mother boards work well with a certain CPU, some GPUs work well this certain motherboards, or all three of "these types" work together, etc.  lot of times, it is trial and error or going on word of mouth from others who have used similar setups and/or have knowledge that was obtained from years within the industry.

Custom Rigs consist of 7 main parts: CPU (Computer Processing Unit), Motherboard, GPU (If your motherboard and CPU dont have integrated graphics/Graphic Processing Unit), PSU (Power Supply Unit), a storage setup (HDD/SSD/NVME), RAM, and a cooling system of sorts.

CPU: the Brains of the of the computer if you will. the better the CPU, the more data can be processed before being sent along through the motherboard to the respective components.

MotherBoard: though to be like a "Tunnel system" or "highway" for the processed information which is to be moved along to other parts of the computer. furthermore, it does more than allow processed information to be moved. it also assists by moving power, from the PSU, through the computer to the various parts connected to the motherboard.

GPU: the workhorse for translating the processed information, pertaining to graphics, into actual visuals which are then sent outward to your monitor. The GPU also helps with graphic heavy CAD designs and presentations, 3D Modeling, and other GPU intensive programs.

PSU (Power Supply Source): The Power Supply Unit is exactly as it names states. Its job is to provide power to all parts of your custom build.

storage: setup (or configuration) of HDD (Hard Disk Drive), SSD (Solid State Drive), or NVME Drives. Without any combination of these parts, your computer wont even boot since this system is used to store data for the OS to even run.

RAM: Random Access Memory, are used are as the name states. Programs, that are installed within your computer, Even your internet browsing and jst booting it up, uses RAM, as memory, to run at any given time. Hence why it is called Random Access Memory.

Cooling: This usually pertains to cooling the CPU as well as other components of your custom build. for instance, air or liquid cooling can be used, for your CPU, to keep it regulated to a cooler temperature while under load. the same can be done to the GPU, but not without modifications. Another aspect that is included in cooling is the system case fans which can be used to pull fresh air into your custom build as well as exhausting hot air from within your case.
